Sable goats were developed from the Saanen, a serious milk goat. Sables produce delicious milk that is wonderful for yogurt, cheese, and low-fat ice cream. The milk is already naturally homogenized which means its ready to drink straight from the udder. The milk can also be used for lotions and goat's milk soap.

Sables come in a variety of beautiful coat patterns and make excellent docile show animals for county fairs, FFA, 4-H and ADGA shows. It's a fantastic experience the whole family can enjoy. Their friendly personalities also lend them to being good pets and companions for other animals like horses. They also help keep weeds at bay. Goats can devour copious quantities of noxious plants that can harm other livestock. They are resistant to the toxic effects of poison oak (a particular favorite) and scotch broom. They will even eat young thistles. As always we vaccinate our goats so that they are of the finest health.
