We have stayed here at least a dozen times over the years and it has become our favorite campground in the area. Although crowded and over run with small children like most places at certain times of years like spring/summer holidays, that is to be expected.

The owners and new office staff are wonderful, you can go to the office, order firewood and they deliver it right to your campsite. They are very helpful in assisting you in local attractions and hiking trails.

Roaring Camp Railroad and the train to Santa are a must and within walking distance, the sound of the steam whistle from the Roaring Camp mountian train softly in the distance several times a day is a treat.

We have our favorite and least favorite campsites and only one bad experience with other campers. This was due to the close proximity of four campsites and one loud family that asked all the local campers not to have campfires. To top it off they were camping with others located away from our campsites, yet had to make it unenjoyable for three other campsites.

We will continue to camp here regardless of one bad experience with an inconsiderate group of multi-site campers.

We only discovered Cotillion Gardens about 2 years ago but we have stayed there 3 times and have thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The kids love the pool and the play area and of coarse the game room. I hike at Henry Cowell all the time and this RV park border Henry Cowell. You can hike to the park from the Cotillion Gardens property. The Roaring Camp train can be heard every day (Roaring Camp is a fun family experience) and it is a relatively short hike to Roaring Camp.

The sites vary. Some are more private some are less. We like first site on the right because it borders the kids play area.

My family cant wait to go back!

It great for us because we live in Santa Cruz. In my opinion its the best privately owned RV camp site on Hwy 9.
